ITINERARY
DAY 01: CUSCO – CACHORA – CHIQUISCA
At 5:30 a.m., we will leave Cusco and head to the village of Cachora (2850 m) to meet our horses and mules, which will carry all the camping equipment during the expedition. From there, we will continue our journey to the Capuliyoc viewpoint (2800 m). The trip offers a beautiful view of the mythical Padrayoc mountain, the deep canyon, and the Apurímac River, known as "The Talking River." Afterward, we will descend into the canyon at Chiquisca (1930 m), where we will spend the night.

DAY 02: CHIQUISCA – PLAYA ROSALINA – MARAMPATA – CHOQUEQUIRAO
After breakfast, we will descend to La Playa Rosalina (1550 m), then continue to Marampata (2850 m), where we will have a beautiful view of the Choquequirao archaeological complex (3033 m). Our camp will be located approximately 25 minutes from Choquequirao.

DAY 03: CHOQUEQUIRAO
At dawn, we will visit the archaeological site of Choquequirao, the "cradle of gold." To date, only 30% of this archaeological center has been restored. We will also explore the history and recent excavations at Choquequirao, which holds many ancestral secrets amidst its wild landscapes.

DAY 04: CHOQUEQUIRAO - SAN IGNACIO - CARMEN
After breakfast, we'll gather our belongings and descend into the deepest part of the Apurímac Canyon, called San Ignacio (1500m), for lunch. Afterward, we'll ascend to our campsite in the beautiful Carmen Gardens (2000m).

DAY 05: CARMEN – SEÑORÍO DE TAMBOBAMBA - HUANIPACA
The Carmen Gardens are located near the Tambo Bamba estate (2500m), a region ruled by landowners during the 20th century and considered one of the most fertile valleys for cultivating corn and a variety of potatoes. We will pass through small villages such as Pacobamba and Huanipaca (3150m) and return to Cusco by bus.
